Winkler Toy and Hobby Show

Once again, Manitoba Lego Users Group will be doing a layout at the Winkler Toy and Hobby Show at the Southland Mall in Winkler, Manitoba

There is no admission to this event
Starts Friday at Noon and runs till 9pm and then Saturday from 9am til 5pm when the mall closes.

The main display will be 40x16 feet with more tables along the side for Mocs and collections. The main table with have 2 train tracks that go all the way around.

Themes displayed but not limited to are Monster Fighters, Medieval, City, Trains.

My name is Ryan. I'm Jared's cousin and I have shown up to a few meetings this year (long hair).

I would like to display some medieval stuff at the Winkler Toy and Hobby Show. I will be able to be there all day on Saturday, November 15th.

Well show setup is suppose to be Friday morning but I am sure I can convince the mall manager to let us setup on Thursday. How does 3pm sound?

how much room do you have left for mocs i would like to display a 9v train on a small oval track. i also have some spaceships and rovers to display.

Thursday November 13th
3pm - Setup of tables starts then setup of large displays

Friday November 14th
9am - Setup starts for members displaying
12pm - Show opens to public
3pm - Minifigure build
9pm - Show closes to public
9pm - AFOL Event starts (Cost $20 per person includes dinner and prize)

We will start with Pizza dinner with soft drinks (Pizza topping will be chosen early in the day)
Following that, Billy will be testing our knowledge with a quiz
Next prize draws, there will be a prize for all in attendance
Evening will end off with the parts draft. People who are not involved in the parts draft are welcome to help out  or they can visit with others or leave for the evening if they so wish

Saturday November 15th
9am - Show opens to public
10:30 am - Mindstorm Sumo Contest
2pm - 1 handed build off
5pm - Show closes to public
5pm - Dismantling of displays starts

Draft Info

Draft set is Lake town Chase - 79013 and will be split between 2 people for a cost of 33.90 per person.
