I was surfing the web today and I discovered this job posting for LEGO and there is also a management position posted. Wow I can't believe it. I wonder where it will be located? Funny that you did not see something on Lan first. It is cool but now we have to pay both taxes. On the plus side, we will now have to get slug to come down to Mega Train next year to do a joint display since they have a real reason to come other than to meet us

A new store in your neck of the woods would be more than welcome, as it cuts the commute time to the nearest location by 3 hours for us! What a deal! Oh yeah... we'll come see you guys too... I guess.

Our LUG (Manitoba LUG) has received several media requests on how the news of the LEGO store opening in Winnipeg effects our group. From what I understand the media have contacted LEGO media relations about a comment on this information. I hope they are able to confirm more details.

They confirmed that the store is coming but no date or location. One of the benefits I gave for a store coming was that Slug would have to come visit now

Just spent week-end in Wpg. and most of it in and around Polo Park. I figured to long a wait til it opens, so I left. I can't wait to take a road trip when it opens.

Hey so a bird on a wire told me that the Lego store is moving ahead faster than they though and hope to be open in the middle of July but they don't have a solid date, also the store will have free wifi access. That is all the information they had to share right now but figured when they hire their brick specialists, that they would have more information. They could not share what the give aways would be yet as they have not been finalized but sounds like there will be a brick build custom set similar to the local flavor that Calgary got when that store opened. For those that did not get there, they had a brick built Cowboy on a horse. Can hardly believe that the ground opening is less than a month away and the soft opening might be a matter of weeks.
