Creations for Charity (C4C)
This annual campaign is starting up again on October 15th.
The idea behind this fundraiser is to raise enough money to buy LEGO sets for kids. Last year, they raised $20,000. They partnered with LEGO and Bricklink and were able to give a CRAPLOAD of sets to kids in 6 different cities. Check out their site and history here: http://creationsforcharity.org/
There are two ways you can help with this campaign:
1) Donate something! You build something cool and let the organizers know you'd like to donate it. You hold onto it until it sells then you ship it out to the buyer (with postage covered if you wish)
2) Buy something! This is the easiest way to help out and it's totally worth it! You get something cool made by someone cool! Win-win!
Think about helping the campaign whatever way you can. It's a great way to interact with our community, and do a little good at the same time.

Hey prairie people!
There are only 4 days left in the Creations for Charity sale over on Bricklink!
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=C4C
The prices are as low as they're going to get, and there are some really cool things out there by some really talented builders. If you haven't done so already, I would suggest taking a look at the pieces up for sale and consider buying one (or two, or three!) before the end of the month.
All the money raised goes to buy LEGO sets for kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play with the wonderful bricks we all enjoy and take for granted.
PLUS, it's pretty cool to have something made by someone else in the community. I've bought one piece so far am and looking over a couple more before it all wraps up. As well, I offered 4 separate pieces and they've all been sold to good homes around the globe. Either way, it's a nice way to get involved in our LEGO community and help some kids out at the same time.

There`s a 24-hour live broadcast currently underway in support of C4C going on right now. As of this post, they`re about to begin hour 3.
It`s mainly a bunch of builders sitting around chatting, building or whatnot. Slightly entertaining, slightly quiet...

The Creations 4 Charity fundraiser has started up again!

Nannan is currently accepting submissions for the charity! Whether you donate or buy a MOC, it's a worthwhile venture. However, for the second year, they are offering a custom brick if you donate a MOC that sell's for more than $20. One side of this matches up to last year's (and also next year's) brick to make a final piece.
Keep an eye for when the store opens as stuff tends to move pretty fast!

Re: Creations for Charity (C4C)
The 24hr Live build hangout just ended, which means there's not a lot of time left to pick up any of the ultra-cool builds on the C4C Bricklink page!
https://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=C4C
Note: all the creations I've donated to be sold are still up there (Boo-urns). If anyone from here buys one, I'll add in another build of your theme choice to sweeten the deal!
